Tim and I happened to be in Murphy, North Carolina some time ago and stopped at this cute little barbecue place since it was lunchtime and we were ravenous. They had brisket mac & cheese tacos on the menu as one of their specials of the day. We thought that sounded intriguingly delicious so opted to give it a try.
So glad we did because that was the most delicious bite of the whole trip.

These are one of the easiest no-bake cookies and remind me so much of the holiday as my mom would make them for my dad. He would plop a couple of these balls of bourbon goodness into his coat pocket when he would go outside on a wintry day to work on the farm. He said they helped keep him warm.
It's soup season friends! And I am in love with this creamy, flavorful chowder with smoky salmon and/or trout and bright nuggets of corn and sweet potato. Dreamy!
This most comforting beef stew is perfect for a chilly day. It is hearty, has deliciously flavorful root vegetables and woodsy mushrooms. The sauce made from cooking everything together with beer is absolutely sumptuous. You will want to lick the bowl.
