Everyone loves tacos and these super easy weeknight fish tacos are an amazing combination of flaky white fish, a super robust, homemade taco seasoning blend, and the most delicious drizzle of a slightly spicy sweet gochujang mayonnaise that make these quite irresistible.
I'll cook the fish in my Ninja Foodi on the air fry setting, which takes about 8-10 minutes, but you can roast the succulent nuggets of fish or saute them in a skillet as well. ![]()
The taco seasoning blend is absolutely perfect and a recipe given to me by my friend Sarah. I make a quadruple batch every time I make it and keep a jar in my pantry for ready access. This is a spice plan that you will use quite frequently since it's good on anything.
I love that tacos themselves can be so versatile and the receptacle itself is totally up to you. Whether you are gluten-free and love an almond flour-based tortilla, or totally carb free and use a lettuce leaf to stuff everything into (or spoon over like our Turkey Quinoa Taco Bowl), they are still totally doable and delicious for all.

Serves 4 16 ounces firm white fish, such as cod, mahi or halibut 2 tablespoons taco seasoning spice blend (see my recipe HERE) 1 teaspoon salt (if you use an unsalted spice blend 2 tablespoon mayonnaise (loveChosen Foods brand) 2 tablespoons sour cream (or plant based sour cream like Elmhurst) 1 tablespoon Gochujang (such as Mother In Law's), a fermented Korean chili paste (or any chili like condiment such as Sriracha) less if you don't like the spice. 1 teaspoon honey Juice of 1/2 to 1 whole lime (you want a drizzling consistency) Spray oil To serve (optional): Tortillas Shredded cabbage or field greens Cilantro Avocado More sour cream Lime wedges Cut the fish into bite sized chunks then toss with the taco seasoning blend and salt. Place into the basket of your air fryer (I love my Ninja Foodi for this) and spray with oil. These would take 8-10 minutes in my Ninja Foodi, but you can also roast them in the oven or saute in a skillet if you don't have an air fryer. While the fish cooks, make the sauce by mixing the mayo, sour cream, honey and lime juice together until well combined. To serve, place cabbage or greens in your tortillas, place the fish pieces atop and drizzle with the gochugang mayo. Add avocado, cilantro or sour cream according to your liking.
