This super easy, tasty mocktail is a great aid to help you sleep. Magnesium can help you relax and reduce stress while tart cherry juice is loaded with antioxidants and increases melatonin levels and tryptophan availability in the body. Nighty night!
This beautiful beverage is so easy. Tart cherry juice is easy to find and I open up a magnesium capsule. I order Thorne magnesium from Thrive Market and take it every night. Top it off with your favorite sparkling water. I love Spindrift Grapefruit for a fizzy twist, but their lime version would be wonderful as well.
Although this mocktail does not actually make you drowsy, the elements contained within promote good sleep by helping you to fall asleep faster and stay asleep. If you simply want a tasty, easy afternoon or evening mocktail you can omit the magnesium and enjoy just the tart cherry juice, which is widely available, and sparking water combo.
Sleepy Girl Bedtime Mocktail
Tart cherry juice Sparking water (I loveSprindrift Grapefruit, but lime would be wonderful as well) 1 magnesium capsule (I purchase Thorne magnesium from Thrive Market) Ice 1 sprig of mint or basil for garnish (optional) Fill a glass with ice. For each mocktail use 1 part tart cherry juice to 3 parts sparkling water poured over the ice. Open the magnesium capsule and stir the powder into the drink until dissolved. Adorn with mint or basil and sip away. Nighty night!
